Alongside his exploration of Murrine, Stephen Bradbourne uses ‘cane’ and ‘twisted cane’ techniques to achieve complex linear patterning in his glass vessels. An interest in and observation of handcrafts, fabric and weaving techniques are starting points for Bradbourne’s Thread Study series. This striking object is an exhibition piece, or can be used as a vase with a single elegant stem.
